Career Opportunities

Positions open for 1 Project-officer and 1 PhD student in the Laboratory of Rupshi Mitra, Assistant Professor in School of Biological Sciences at Nanyang Technological University. Our group is investigating ‘neurobiology of resilience’ both in context of stress and neurodegenerative disorders. In particular we are keen to find out what makes some individuals resistant to stress and related disorders, while most others are susceptible. We will be using animal models to understand the fundamental biology of resilience in context of behavior and gene-regulation. Details of our research can be found at

Prospective applicants need to demonstrate high motivation and keen interest in neurobiological research of stress and resilience. The successful candidate should be familiar or willing to learn animal handling, cell/tissue staining and molecular biology techniques.
