Positions open for 1 Project-officer and 1 PhD student in the Laboratory of Rupshi Mitra, Assistant Professor in School of Biological Sciences at Nanyang Technological University. Our group is investigating ‘neurobiology of resilience’ both in context of stress and neurodegenerative disorders. In particular we are keen to find out what makes some individuals resistant to stress and related disorders, while most others are susceptible. We will be using animal models to understand the fundamental biology of resilience in context of behavior and gene-regulation. Details of our research can be found at

The successful candidate should be familiar or willing to learn animal handling, cell/tissue staining and molecular biology techniques. Prior experience with rodent behavior or surgery will be a plus.  Interested applicants should send a cover-letter describing research interest and experience, detailed CV with technical expertise, publication record and referee-reports (at least 3) to Asst/Prof Rupshi Mitra (rmitra@ntu.edu.sg).
